Their designers have contoured the lines of the open-top model athlete, and using the ABT R8 Spyder has redefined the word “roadster” with Bavarian thoroughness: the result is a vehicle whose power can be seen even when it is at a standstill. <span></span></p>
<p>The front grill, front apron, side sills and rear apron with the rear spoiler as well as the dual-colour coated ABT BR alloys have been adjusted to the dynamic design of the car. As with the closed R8 versions from ABT, the team has designed all the components in order to achieve the sports car’s optimum distribution of weight; all the parts are therefore made from carbon. As a result the performance can be converted into a maximum of driving enjoyment. Anyone who wants to systematically reduce the weight of their Spyder should use the new ABT CR Superlight alloys, as they also excellently suit the character of the ABT R8.</p>
<p>The V10 with 5.2 litre cubic capacity is used in the ABT R8 Spyder: this provides 600 well-trained horses (441 kW) – while in the series version there are 525HP (386 kW). The Spyder is able to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and achieves a top speed of 320 km/h. The roadster is therefore a hurricane for the road, giving lovers of fresh-air a new &#8220;tangible” term. Suspension springs from ABT provide even better handling, which in particular has a positive effect in the threshold regions of the Spyder.</p>
<p>In addition the lower centre of gravity gives the mid-engine sports car an even more aggressive appearance. When you take a look at the car you can see that it is one of the fastest of the fast &#8211; and is really ready for anything, as you would expect from an ABT R8.</p>

The Rieger Audi R8 features a full aerodynamics kit which includes a front spoiler, side skirts, a rear skirt insert and a rear diffuser, a rear wing, rear fog lights and exhaust end pipes. <span></span></p>
<p>This styling package could be ordered from Rieger’s online shop and it will give the stock R8 a look close to the R8 V10. The Rieger Audi R8 also received an adjustable suspension that brings the car closer to the ground and a new set of 20 or 21″ wheels.</p>

For this reason, the entire range of coilover suspensions and the Hydraulic Lift System HLS by the suspension specialist from Fichtenberg, Germany is available. <span></span></p>
<p>KW attunes the coilover suspensions Variant 1 to the Audi TT RS (already from 849 Euro including VAT). With the coilover suspension Variant 2 the driver is also able to individually adjust the traction phase (from 1099 Euro). Both versions are available in the “Basic“ version at a favourable entry level price. Moreover, the versions Variant 1 and 2 are available in stainless steel technology “inox-line“. This technology guarantees that the individual component parts remain permanently flexible even during intensive use and winter conditions.</p>
<p>The version Variant 3 “inox-line“ allows full control of the set-up and comes with an adjustable traction and compression phase (for only 1549 Euro). Therefore, the suspension can be exactly adjusted to the requirements of the driver and the track. For racing purposes, KW additionally offers the coilover suspension KW Clubsport for only 1999 Euro including strut mounts.</p>
<p>In order to keep the Audi TT RS fit for everyday use, KW installs the Hydraulic Lift System HLS (already from 2899 Euro). By remote control, the coupé is lifted by 40 millimetres at the front- and back axle. Therefore, no access to underground car parks and no speed bumps can harm the front skirt.</p>

<p><strong>Aerodynamics</strong><br />
All parts are made from the advance carbon fiber technology used in the aerospace and F1 racing industries.  The exterior features a widebody kit with a new front bumper, front spoiler, front bonnet, front fenders, sideskirts, sideblades (or as PPI now calls them, Aeroblades), rear fenders, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and a new rear engine cover with air channels that can be fitted with a Polycarbonate, scratch-resistant and UV coated glass in solid or slotted form. All this Carbon Fiber and lightweight materials strips about 250 kilos (551 lbs) from the vehicle&#8217;s weight. </p>
<p>PPI engineers have managed to create a supercar out of the Audi R8, resulting in a wider, lighter, more stable, and more aggressive body. Keeping in mind the philosophy of &#8220;form follows function&#8221;. Every air channel, intake has a function and purpose on this mid-engined supercar. First and foremost to increase air delivery to the engine, secondly, to provide greater engine cooling, thirdly, to increase brake cooling, and fourth, to increase aerodynamic stability.</p>
<p><strong>Performance</strong><br />
PPI offers several engine kits for the Audi R8 Models.</p>
<p><strong>V8 power upgrade options:</strong><br />
Stage 1 &#8211; 40 HP increase<br />
Stage 2 &#8211; Supercharger â€&#8221; 200 HP increase</p>
<p><strong>V10 power upgrade options:</strong><br />
Stage 1 &#8211; 60 HP increase<br />
Stage 2 &#8211; 80 HP increase<br />
Stage 3 &#8211; Further power increases available upon request</p>
<p>To achieve these power increases, PPI makes use of Formula1 technology and research and development data from extensive testing. Combined with 580 HP supercharged V8 or the 600 HP V10 engine, this vehicle rockets to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds.  A top speed of over 323 km/h (201 mph) is possible.â€¨</p>
<p>Naturally, this required bigger wheels, brakes, and cooling.  PPI uses a 380 mm braking system with six-piston calipers in the front, and four-piston calipers at the back. PPI fitted the Supercar with 9 x 19 and 11 x 20 forged aluminum wheels, with 265/35 19, and 335/30 20 Michelin Pilot Sport 2. Alternatively, Carbon Fiber wheels are optional in the following dimensions: 9 x 19&#8243; and 12 x 20&#8243; Wheel and Tire applications are custom-tailed to drivers driving-style. <p>Interior Performance<br />
PPI completely re-appoints the interior per clients request, and turns the R8 cabin into a &#8220;members-only&#8221; lounge with a motorsport flair. The production interior is replaced with the finest quality materials. The Gems of the interior are the PPI Sport Steering wheel with Carbon Fiber Rim and perforated black leather, and of course, the PPITM insignia in aluminum. The hand-brake lever, door sill protectors, driver and radio console surround, door trim, center console inserts, kneepad trim are all crafted from carbon fiber, as are the ultra-light weight folding sport seats with airbag.</p>
<p><strong>Aerodynamic Packages</strong><br />
The RAZOR GT/GTR packages are offered in 4 levels. The core bodykit is the RAZOR GT, this is the widebody package in paintable carbon fiber without the engine cover/air channels and without the rear spoiler.</p>
<p>The second, is the previously shown RAZOR GTR kit. This is the same as the GT kit and includes the additional Rear engine cover/air channels, Front Radiator Air channel (that is continous with the front bonnet) and Rear Spoiler. Presented at the 2009 TopMarques Show in Monaco.</p>
<p>The third kit, is the RAZOR GTR kit in Optical form. This bodykit is finished in a way to allow all parts to be shown in visible carbon fiber. Presented at the 2009 Dubai Motor Show.</p>
<p>The fourth, is the RAZOR GTR Visible Carbon Fiber. This is a full-bodied Carbon Fiber car with PPITMs RAZOR GTR kit and doors and roof in Carbon Fiber. This can only be assembled in PPITMs German-based company.</p>

Another evidence thereto is given by actual S3 retrofitting on the base of S3 2.0 T-FSI: equipped by quite a lot of performance, a more vigorous design and complete matt foliation of the car body. <span></span></p>
<p>The stage III performance kit includes not only new MR Car design engine control software or sports exhaust allowing to uprate engine performance up to 337 hp with 450Nm of torque. Engine overhaul also includes a downpipe incl. sports cat, sports exhaust system with optimized dynamic pressure, the suction way optimization with a big intercooler and, as already mentioned, engine control software &#8211; additionally the TÜV-certified hand weld 2-flute high-grade steel sports exhaust system with optimized counter pressure.</p>
<p>8&#215;19&#8243; Emotion-Wheels (Strada) hyper-black alloy rims by their long-curved spokes guarantee better airing of the wheel house and the view on huge serial braking system (against upcharge with StopTech braking system). Wheels with Dunlop Sportmaxx high performance tyres 235/35 ZR19.</p>
<p>In addition the darkish look of the complete matt foliation by Cover EFX (CFC styling station Erftstadt/Germany) gives the car body overtaking prestige on the highway.</p>
<p>By its tried and trusted V3 coilovers with pressure and tension phase adjustment KW Automotive contribute to the speedway suitable setup.</p>

Its supremacy is, however, deceptive as even a high curb or a steep garage drive can limit the R8’s territory. With the Airlift Suspension from vehicle tuner Cargraphic, however, the R8 driver can literally leap over the boundaries which have existed to date, without ruining the expensive front spoiler in the process.<span id="more-746"></span></p>
<p>For “existing damage” Cargraphic also offers attractive replacements and complete R8 aerodynamic packages in a carbon design as part of its collection. </p>
<p>The pneumatic height compensation system Airlift Suspension, which has been developed in-house, elevates the vehicle at the front spoiler by up to 72 mm. In order to protect the suspension, the process lasts just 15 seconds. “This also results in a cool show effect&#8221;, says Cargraphic General Manager Michael Schnarr, “particularly in connection with the radio remote control.&#8221; But show alone is not the remit of the &#8220;Performance company&#8221;. As a result the Airlift behaves completely neutrally with regards to its driving dynamic qualities. Walter Roehrl proved this on the Hockenheimring in 2009 with a correspondingly equipped Cargraphic Porsche 997 Turbo (video stream at www.cargraphic.de). But how is this possible, as after all “air” is not supposed to be part of the good basis of a high-end driving dynamics solution.</p>
<p>The surprisingly fast to mount Cargraphic Airlift is not an air suspension system, but merely consists of air bellows and a separate compressor. The former sit on the upper spring cup of an ideally tested BILSTEIN B16 CSC coil over suspension system and are only used to compensate the height. In inactive condition the bellows form a rigid frictional connection, so that the coil over suspension system alone is used – above 50 km/h the system lowers automatically. The small boot remains untouched by the conversion and the vehicle weight is increased by a mere 3 kilos including the compressor. Effective and efficient, just the way customers of Cargraphic like it. Unlike similar hydraulics solutions, there is also no danger of the insides of the car being ruined by an oil leak. After all, the reputation of the Audi R8 can&#8217;t receive a black mark on its white vest. Another considerable advantage is: the Airlift is delivered complete with a TÜV/technical component report and does not limit the choice of wheel/tyre combination. Thereby the customer can draw on the attractive R8 alloy program of Cargraphic without limitation, in which the company from Landau offers plenty of designs in 19 and 20 inch, one-piece or three-piece designs. Sonorous stainless steel exhaust systems which are produced in-house by Cargraphic – with or without a valve control system – are also available to round off the design melodiously.</p>
